Maybe they should strongly consider opening up again for internationally-educated nurses. From what I am hearing a lot of their nurses are also migrating to other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada, so I don't know how their staffing shortages will improve with just domestically-grown nurses. Obviously, other nurses from Europe are not enough as well other wise they won't have these problems.
Patient care concerns among nurses
Excerpts:
Four in ten nurses say staffing shortages mean patients' care is compromised at least once a week, the Royal College of Nursing said.
More than half of the RCN's members, 55%, find they cannot provide the level of care they want to because they are so busy and the same number say there aren't enough staff to meet patient needs.
And two thirds, 61%, of NHS nurses say their workload is too heavy and they are under too much pressure.The RCN is calling for all political parties to commit to guaranteeing safe staffing levels for all nursing shifts.
