Locally there are countless ways to donate via different routes, however, it seems if someone is living outside the Philippines there are no easy, fast and hassle-free way to do it and by without giving up extra information such as one's credit card information or paying transaction fees.  There are also lots of people that wants to donate anonymously as well.

People from all walks of life and nationality can donate to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) in two ways.  The traditional ways are described on their website: http://redcross.org.ph/Site/PNRC/wtd.aspx  and the other way is via paypal w/c is via the local pro-consumer group TXTPower paypal donation account specifically created for collecting donations on behalf of PNRC.

Pls visit
http://www.txtpower.org/ to be able to donate fast and hassle-free via paypal.  So far, TXTPower's Fund Drive via paypal/credit cards is the one only mentioned by PNRC on their twitter account but it does not mean donations from other paypal donation pages created by other people will be rejected by PNRC.

Please note that one does not need to be a member nor have to even believe the pro-consumer group TXTPower's causes to be able to donate.  It is just a way to reach as many people from around the world and making it easy to make donations.  Donations from all walks of life and nationalities are welcomed.

And nothing is too late.  Majority of rescue operations has already been done but still on-going as floodwaters in some areas are still quite high.  Relief operations for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) is on-going and it will be that way for quite a long time as some will not be able to go back to their homes that were destroyed.

Important websites:

PNRC donation page (traditional ways): http://www.redcross.org.ph/Site/PNRC/wtd.aspx
PNRC twitter account: http://twitter.com/philredcross
TXTPower (paypal donations):  http://www.txtpower.org/

**Disclaimer:  We are not a member nor affiliated with TXTPower or PNRC and we gain nothing by pointing forum members, loyal readers and lurkers from around the world and from all walks of life to their donation pages.
