The long awaited Nurse Shortage Emergency Relief Act Bill has finally been re-introduced in the House.

The main sponsor is again Rep. Wexler of Florida with initially 4 co-sponsors. Last year's version (HR 5924) had 20-21 co-sponsors if my memory serves me right.

The new bill number is H.R. 2536.  As always, any new bill introduced takes a couple of days before it is uploaded to the Library of Congress.  However, it's expected that the new bill will be very similar to HR 5924.

Now, the waiting for it's progress starting from the subcommittee mark-ups begins.

Please stay tuned to our website for more news and updates.

The much awaited bill has been introduced. Many thanks to Congressman Robert Wexler for the kind action of birthing HR2536.  smile

I fervently pray that this bill will survive and finally be passed as this will solve the burdens of many.

Looking forward for some good progress in the coming days.

Again, kudos to all the good people behind HR2536. I know this is just the start of another long battle, but with the support of everyone, I am confident that this time it will be fine.

God is good, all the time.

We just need to hope for the best.  You also have to take into account on who exactly is saying what.  Are they immigration lawyers or who knows what amount of preparation and work that was done to this bill before it was introduced or are they spectators just like us ?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I give more credence to those who know the background of this bill from the ground-up.  This includes some immigration lawyers that do not know the background of this re-introduced bill.

Just my two cents.
