For those new immigrants (not going to another country via a working visa) preparing to leave the home country must be aware that there is a Commission On Filipinos Overseas (CFO) and that they must register with them before leaving and as well as attend a Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS).
For what I know, registering and attending the PDOS is mandatory and proof of having been registered and attended the seminar is needed at the port of exit (our airport).
