  • There are two post editors available:

  1. The default is the media editor where you can upload videos and images
  2. Logged-in members can switch between the default media editor and the standard editor where most members may be more acquainted with.
-  When one want to post an image with your text post, some may prefer to use the standard editor. Just click the 'insert image' icon in the standard editor (near the insert emoticons icon) and you can paste in the url of the location of the image file. All major image/photo files such as .jpg, .png, and .bmp are supported. The size will automatically be figured out but can be manually re-sized as well in the image editor. However, making a size larger from it's original size may decrease it's sharpness. For optimal image sharpness, I recommend using the original size (no matter how big it is) and just re-sizing it to a smaller size. This way, image sharpness is not compromised. The maximum width that we can support to make sure noting is cut is around more or less 750.

  • Inserting/editing "camouflage" links

- This is done using the standard editor as well.  To do this just highlight a word or phrase within your post and click the insert/edit link icon (the one that looks like a chain) and insert the actual url or weblink.  A "camouflaged" link will appear light blue and underlined to signify that it goes to another site.  You can choose to bold it as well to let it stand out more.

**The post editor will be improved soon.  So, there's something to look into.  Stay tuned for the improvements

Community moderation

We have a community moderation feature.  Members can do community moderation by giving posts thumbs up and thumbs down.

A post that has received at least 3 thumbs down will have the post collapse.  A collapsed post is not a deleted post but a way to hide the contents of the post so that anyone (members and loyal readers) can skip that post.

Anyone who still wants to read a collapsed post can just click it for it to un-collapse.

Only members can vote to give a post a thumbs up and a thumbs down.  A certain post can receive as much thumbs up or thumbs down.  However, members can only vote once and voting is done of course anonymously so no one knows who gave a thumbs up or a thumbs down.

A collapsed post can still be revived if someone gives a thumbs up.  Only posts receiving a -3 and above are collapsed.

Hello guys...Just a newbie here.I've been to a lot of forums but this site is so user friendly.Fast upon registration and PRESTO...I'm in.

Thanks to nurse idol for directing me to this sie.

After all, not all querries we have in life can be answered in other forums, so I widen my search and horizon to know more about issues and new trends in NURSING.

To T-cell very informative posts to newcomers like me.

Just giving a friendly reminder that only members that are logged-in can send personal messages (PM) to members of this forum.

A non-member or a member not logged-in that attempts to send a PM to a member will only get a
Page not found (404) error.

This is for safety purposes and a privilege for members.  Membership is free and approval is instant and automatic.
