Hi everyone,

Im new here... thanks God I was able to find a forum such like this. I used to log in to one forum which i found to be one sided and anti immigrants(its very obvious). Although they have their own perceptions or opinions about immigration but I think they also should be sensitive with the feelings of other members. By doing so, they never realize that the more we are being challenged by them to strive harder. Only God knows whats store for each one of us. My PD is mid 2006 and I firmly believe that our american dreams are no longer far from us.

More power... and keep us updated.

hi apc,
I mailed my payment to my agency 2 wks after they sent me the VF bill receipt(I guess thats the form with the barcode and NVC case number indicated). I listed him as following to join because my agency told me that my family will join me after I arrived at the US.

-lem04

Hi lem04, I was just wondering why you already paid your son's visa fee bill if he was listed as following to join. You did not have to pay his fee bill yet since it can be paid in the embassy for following to join applicants. My daughter was only 10 days old when we were asked for updated DS230 last May 2008 and since we did not have her birth cert and passport yet we listed her as following to join. This way the NVC processed our case to completion eventhough they did not have my daughter's docs but my lawyer said I can just bring her to the interview with me when we get our sched and just pay for the fee bill at the embassy and submit her docs at the embassy. From what I read from other forums, following to join applicants are not interviewed together with the principal applicant but at a later date. The exception is for babies. Is your husband also listed as following to join?

The form with the barcode is the packet 3 (DS230 form), NVC sends this to your lawyer after the visa fee bill is paid. Have you called NVC to check if you are already documentarily qualified? I suggest you call NVC and check the status of your application as they are they can give you the best answer to this. Do not rely on what your agency tells you.

hi there! you might as well work in singapore while you are waiting for your visa in America. since retrogression is still up, it will be a long wait. but when working, you won't realize that you had spent your time practicing nursing adding it to your credits when you reach USA, thus giving you a higher salary. though many of us here believe that Pres Obama will look and give soulution to the health issues in US, we still have to wait. but at least you have your goal. train yourself so you can be better when you reach it.

Hi and welcome to our forum. This is a place were hopeful nurses belongs.

Just hang on. All of us had also waited for long years. I for one waited and is still waiting for more than three years now. But I had a problem with my papers that is why, and added to that is the prolonged nature of retrogression. The thing I wanna say is, if you aim for something that is BEST, then you must have to bear the long wait and be paient. Don't get too much focus as well with waiting for your case to be current, I tell you, you'll get crazy thinking about it. Just live the usual way, and gain more experience, by the time US is ready to welcome you, then you'll be very much equipped with the nursing skills needed.

As what REYCHZ says: " Dreaming is free. one day, you'll be surprised that you are standing on that dream. Dream Big!

God Bless everybody. All are eagerly waiting for the January2009 Visa Bulletin. Hope it shall carry good news.

P.S

This is a foreigner friendly site.Tagalog is good, but please try to understand that we have foreign nurses in the forum as well. Best to post in English.

Hello People and fellow HOPEFULS.

I am a bit worried about the upcoming January 2009 Visa Bulletin.

A friend of mine called up NVC an hour ago. If his ears served him right, then January 2009 VB is not as promising as all of us are expecting. I am also not sure if the agent is having the right info at this point in time.

Friend's Query: " I dont have an access to the internet at the moment, so I wouldn't have the chance to know the cut-off date for the month of January 2009. Can you provide me with the cut-off date for EB3 Philippines for January 2009???"

Agent's reply: " Sure. It's May 01, 2005."

Friend's ff ?: Is that for January 2009? Means to say no forward movement???"

Agent's reply: "Yes. Sometimes there is no movement."

Hmmmm....Again if this telephone conversation transpired is true, and if there was no mistake from the part of the agent, then another sad story for us.

But, don't lose hope, the official January VB is yet to come out. I am still positive that there will be a forward movement. God is working it out for us according to HIS will.

God Bless everybody. Good luck and praying for the best.

i just hope that they are not allowed to relay any info re an upcoming official vb,and that what the agent just divulged was something out of having nothing to say that he just said it..haay...

I don't believe that the NVC agent will just simply relay any information specifically the OFFICIAL JAN VB to anybody who will call and ask them simply like that. Sorry if I totally disagree with it but I myself had done numerous inquiries from NVC'S agent with regards to any factual information or advance movements on VB. But all through out my inquiries I never have had an answer like that from them. Those agents informed me that its a BIG "NO NO" for them to divulge any issues or relevant facts that could hinder the credibility of the NVC. They even told me that they are not allowed to discuss matters beyond their job description and they could only discuss with issues that are related to my case that has been approve by the said agency. No matter how persistent I am to get at least a hint they really denied my plea. They told me to just wait for the NVC to post the next VB at the right time because its illegal for them to do so. I had asked my lawyer to do the same, but she told me that NVC don't give info's in advance even to legal firms like them. No one is above the law guys! I guess we should not prejudge the unseen! Its better to see it to believe it at the proper time? Let us be more patient...

WAITING IS WEARISOME... BUT REMEMBER... NO MATTER HOW A MAN'S HEART AND MIND WANT TO PUSH IT THROUGH, IT'S ALWAYS GODS PLAN AND WILL THAT PREVAIL! LET US NOT LOSE HOPE GUYS FOR WHATEVER HAPPEN THERE'S ALWAYS A REASON BEHIND IT ALL! LETS PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!!!

Hello everybody.

Just want to have my point out. Posting the message I've gotten from a friend last night regarding his telephone conversation with the NVC agent doesn't in any way implies that I am being negative nor presumptuous. In fact when I knew about it, I was really disappointed and really didn't start to believe it since I'm always being hopeful all this time. My sole intention was to just let the forum be aware that amidst the positive expectations of everyone, one NVC caller had gotten a negative foresight for the Jan 2009 VB.

I have to agree with Cutienurse. No one is above the law. Not to prejudge what is unseen. Pre-supposing a thing to happen is quite dangerous as it may attract critical comments. My apology if anyone in here felt bad upon reading what I've posted lastnight. That was entirely a casual and unconfirmed information gathered by me from friends around.

I also believe that NVC agents wont just divulge things publicly but to wait for the official Jan VB to be out. I really do not know what prompted the NVC agent to answer my friend's query with all certainty despite the claim that it's not lawful to pre-broadcast the VB.

Again, my apology and does not in anyway tries to raise an argument in here.

Let's continue to be hopeful...Let's wait for the official VB. Not from MUmbai..Not from NVC agents.but from the Official site....To see is to believe it at the proper time.

Godbless

nurseidol,

talk about being optimistic but otherwise in reality, that is what it is (for me).somehow reading your post gave me this strange feeling of whats actually about to happen, and it did.i knew then that that was a real premonition but i knew that i had just to contradict it no matter how strong it was, thanks anyway for making it seem a little less surprising for me.at least after seeing the offcl.vb,the hurt has practically been less than it should have been..still hoping for a better vb nxt time!GBU!

Hi there Friend Nurseidol;

My apology if you think i felt bad after reading what you had shared yesterday regarding your friend's conversation with the nvc agent. The truth is i myself had a mixed thoughts about the movement of JAN VB. It's not about what you have shared that makes me commented, but its about between the agent & the one whose calling them. What im trying to explain my previous post is that it also happened to me before and i do share what they had told me in contrast to what your friend had gathered from them. Its not about the JAN VB issue, but its all about the officialism of the so called "OFFICIAL VISA BULLETIN". I cant believe that its just as easy like for them to relay such matter to everyone else. But anyhow, that post of yours makes us think after that it does exist even if some agents are denying it. I hope i didn't offended you or such because of my point of view. On the other hand, you know that you're one of those here at this forum that i always trust and believe. I hope i was able to enlighten what you had feel after reading our replies.

With regards to the JAN VB that mumbai consulate had posted. And there it is, no movement same like last month. Actually, I had anticipated it to be honest. But i don't want to be too pessimist that i just believe more what we all hope for, for there's nothing wrong with that. But hey guys, redundant as we say, "expect for the worst and hope for the best to come". We should still be thankful for this news. For these past 3 consecutive months it stays put to MAY 2005 cut off date. That mean to say we didn't got a worst expectation because it didn't retrogress at all. I think this is something that we should be hopeful for. Time flies so fast and we wont even notice were all starting to do our count down again next month! For now, let us all enjoy the holiday season wit our love ones here in our native land. Who knows what's in store for the next Feb VB. This Christmas might be our last year of celebration here isn't it guys??? So lets cheer up! God is Great and merciful for those who believes in HIM!!!
