Hopefully 2009 will be lucky for many of us, but you just can't predict anything with any real certainty.

i was informed by my lawyer, if you lack biographic data, i guess they havent submitted your ds 230 and other needed documents. try calling your lawyer about that. sorry for the late reply. didnt notice your message till now. all these messages are mixed up.
there are bloggers in the other site who just opined that the movt.for 2009 would slow down such that only those with 2005 PDs will have the chance so they say.any of you w/ better ideas? they even concluded that Pds of 2006 should better start considering moving to countries other than the US.having a 2006 pd myself,i couldnt quite digest their reason or motives if at all in foretelling those things.i just really think that only God really knows our future.,unless somebody from inside the NVC will have told me directly, but then maybe not,i still would like to think otherwise, maybe it is what is called FAITH..

No one should take anyone's opinions posted on any site as the absolute truth. People should take it as it is - just an opinion. So, if anyone reads something in cyberspace always remember all of those are just mere opinions or suggestions.Hello.
Leen is a hammond friend eversince. I've seen and tracked the progress of her case, from the time she got documentarily qualfied till she had her immigrant visa and finally landed to the land of Milk and Honey.
I am certain that what she have said are plainly opinions and based on what she witnessed in the past. But things can change drastically as Visa Bulletins are higly unpredictable. Forwarding cut-off date to March 2006, then again retrogressed to January 2005, advanced to may 2005 and stayed there for another month is a good picture of how horrifying VBs are. That is why it is very difficult for us to lay predictions with all our confidence.
Hard to predict though, I am still positive that applicants with PDs of early 2006 will still gonna have their defining moment this fiscal year.
I agree with leen, people with PDs of late 2006 may try to look for job abroad for the time being. Not of being negative, but gaining work experience abroad while your PD is not yet current is indeed favorable. Why stay in the Philippines being jobless while your nursing skills are badly needed somewherelse? Just make sure that everything is well sorted out prior to making any decisions, and everything will be fine.
Again, forums like this are created for purpose of sharing thoughts, ideas, and opinions, there might be some truth with the words laid, but a high percentage of everything written are highly opinions. Opinions are to be respected, it's up to fellow bloggers if they'll take it in, or take it OUT.
God Bless everybody, hoping for something good in the coming months
Just hang on guys, we are next in line.
I agree everyone is entitled to there opinion and everybody is entitled to ignore opinions if they don't accept them or agree with them. I think that all 05 PDs will be current this fiscal year and also probably early 06 aswell but being current does'nt mean GC most of us on here realise it is just a waiting game a very long and frustrating waiting game.Good luck to all in the coming months.

Hi To all Hopefull Nurses like me;
Reading all the posts here made me renewed my failing hopes regarding my case b'coz of whats been happening with that unpredictable VB. But as the saying goes... "PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE"! I think i need to hold on to the hope that nothing is impossible and Nothing is permanent. No one could predict what will really happen tomorrow... Bu i do believe that no matter how long we will all be waiting, the right time will come for us to reach out our goal too! AND THAT IS TO BE IN USA!!! Waiting is indeed the hardest part... But that's part of our lives that we cannot control. I guess the best thing that we could do is to expect for the worst and hope for the best to come!

Present Status: Still waiting for appointment date/packet 4
" To those who wants to give their opinions and insights regarding my case you are very much welcome to do so. And to those who have the same pd and case status like mine lets PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! Thanks to Nurseidol for inviting me here... Great forum for us!!!

That's good news. At least we don't have to re-submit everything again, which can cause delays.
Welcome cutienurse! Nice of you to join us.
Welcome to the forum, cutienurse or as nurseidol would say, welcome to the family. : ) And I second tabachingdj's comments. I do hope that they don't ask for us to re-submit anything. Cross-fingers. It just causes delays and valuable resources for both the NVC and their clients. Imagine, having them (NVC) repeatedly mailing the agency or lawyer and then the nurse mailing the agency or lawyer and then the agency or lawyer mails everything back to NVC. Very inefficient way of doing things, when the Ds-230 form and other supporting documents, including renewed police clearances, more recent photos and additional fees can be done on the consular post or embassy anyway.

I agree with T-cell. There's actually no use and not making any sense why there's a need for re-submission of updated docs at the at the NVC level for 2nd, 3rd or 4th time around when an applicant's case had already been reviewed and declared case completed months ago. Those expired docs can be replaced with new ones at the consular post already at the time of interview. If Cutienurse's lawyer is right, then it's a big relief for majority of us.
Godbless
This is the coolest forum i ever joined! Nice people to chat with... Very professional and very inspiring Nurses! We're indeed a "KAPAMILYA"! I really felt at home here. Anyway, added to what i quoted from my lawyer. She's based in San Francisco and an American lawyer as well. I also called up NVC to verify what my lawyer told me to be sure. And the NVC agent that i spoke with told me the same thing that once our case is complete we don't need to update or re submit those documents again to NVC. Unless the local consulate will ask for it (e.g. police clearance or NBI cert) which is easy for us to provide and show it together with our documents during the interview time. The NVC also told me that it still depends on the consulate if they will require us to renew these cert or not. As long as we don't need to send it to NVC which need days or weeks before it could reach them there's nothing to be worry about. Right? I also have some colleagues who asked about it at NVC and they were answered the same... NO NEED TO UPDATE OR RESUBMIT AGAIN ONCE YOUR CASE IS COMPLETE and just wait for your appointment date once you're PD is current! So guys and gals lets hold on to what the NVC Agent told us...
Cheers to us all!!! God Bless us this JAN VB...

Since you are asking for opinions... I'll give mine. : ) If you ask me, no one could really predict anything with accuracy. You can go to immigration websites like HLG, Ron Gotcher, and they won't be able to give a straight out answer as well. No one can.-t-cell
Just look at all the threads and posts from before from different sites regarding predictions on the up-coming visa bulletins. How many of them were right? I think it's safe to say that at least 8-9 / 10 'predictions' were wrong. Then notice how 'disappointed' they were after their 'predictions' did not materialize.-t-cell
Another thing you'll notice are persons that keeps telling 'nothing will move' and so on and so forth but notice that it's the same person(s) everytime posting every month or so.-t-cell
They should just shut the ---- up.
No one should take anyone's opinions posted on any site as the absolute truth. People should take it as it is - just an opinion. So, if anyone reads something in cyberspace always remember all of those are just mere opinions or suggestions.-t-cell
America for Americans only???
America is a land of immigrants. Tanging mga Native Americans lang po ang puwedeng umangkin ng titulong Unang Amerikano.
Who are these self-proclaimed gate-keepers?
I say let all qualified foreign nurses in, and let the Law of Supply and Demand work. If there really is a glut of nurses as these aunt mammas proclaim, then the jobs will not be there, the visas will not be issued.
Bottomline: don't believe the aunt mammas.
Just apply, pray, and keep yourselves occupied while waiting for your papers. By keeping yourselves occupied, I mean honing your nursing skills.
