i joined this forum because the founder doesnt allowed anymore guest to post ( i guess because of me.. hehehe).. i understand that this is a public forum. but what im trying to say is let us avoid asking TOO MUCH to everybody. We are only prolonging our agony of waiting.... if you cant accept what i've said i have no problem with that. This is all spoonfeeding to all of us as far as i know.you're asking every details, every move, and everything. i guess if you are in his position you will not answer every little question that we ask. at first all of you doesnt agree to what he was saying...but now you are all full of questions. never ending questions...i salute snipee and everyone here who can answer all of our inquiries.and we are all entitled to our own opinion. so let us respect that.

" I dont know why you sound so pessimist with members who are very eager to share what they experience that we all know will be very helpful to everyone here who have the same agony like snipee have had before. I think there's nothing wrong with giving information that doesnt hinders anybody's private life. Its even a great opportunity for us to be able to help and lessen other peoples confusions and worries who will undergo the same path like snipee. I dont know what your really up to by commenting like this. I hope instead of making negative feedback let us instead be thankful that we learn a lot from each other here in the forum. Let us learn how to be appreciative! Thank you... Good luck to you too!
To Snipee,
Congratulations to you and to your spouse! You deserve it. It pays the long wait! Hope we could learn more from you. Keep in touch here at LEFORA! God bless you in all your future plans. May we all have the same happiness like you have! Cheers!!!

Hello Nursing.
The VISA SCREEN CERTIFICATE is valid for five years unless otherwise cancelled or revoked by the CGFNS ICHP division. Should it be expired soon, you must file for renewal at least six months prior to the expiry date stated in the certificate.
Your PD of 2007 is telling us that you have to wait for some more time because at the moment, Visa Office is only processing petitions with PDs prior to May 1, 2005. But dont you worry, who knows, friendly immigration bills might come along the way lifting retrogression that soon. Keep you fingers crossed.
If your case is already eligible for further processing, say that your PD is near to being current, NVC will notify your agent of choice (Immigration Lawyer) of the need to settle the Visa Fee Bill. Once Visa Fee Bill has been paid, the NVC will send out the Packet 3 ( DS230 forms) for you to fill up and return to them ASAP. They will then review the documents submitted. If there's nothing wrong with your papers and that everything needed is supplied, your case will then be declared as documentarily qualified.
Once documentarily qualified, you will be pooled in for the next level, and that is the packet 4 or the issuance of appointment letter indicating your schedule for medical exam and interview with the consul at the US embassy overseas.
I hope I was able to shed some lights.
God Bless you.
Hi Nurseidol,
Can you please enlighten me with this? Here's my situation: PD July 2006, case complete since June 25, 2008 under EB3 Phils.
If ever my PD becomes current and will be given an interview date, is there a possiblity that my employer will not give an updated contract because I am not currently working in a hospital and will not be able to have my interview? Can they do that? Do you know anyone who experienced this? I'm working now as a Company Nurse and will do hospital work by the time i get called for interview.
Thanks so much,
Yang

Hi Yang.
I cannot really answer with much confidence regarding the possibilities of your employer not giving you an updated job offer prior to your consular interview. It depends greatly on the mutual covenant that you and your employer had made. However, It seems to me that your employer is aware that you are currently not with hospital nursing and is presently doing a job of a company nurse. Am I right? If this is the case, then probably there's no issue with that, you can still secure an updated job offer from them. They've sponsored you for EB3, both parties have waited that long to get into the finish line, so I believe your employer will furnish you with the needful unless some bad energies will come along the way, GOD FORBID!!!
The consular interview is not in anyway dependent with having or not having an updated job offer. The consular interview will proceed as scheduled. However, in cases where the EB3 applicant failed to show a recent job offer from his petitioner/employer to the consul at the time of interview, applicant will not be granted with the IMMIGRANT VISAs not until he will be able to prove that the job offer made years back is still active, and that is through furnishing the consul with a new and updated job offer.
I strongly suggest you to communicate with your US employer as early as now. Ask them if it is imperative to have a continous hospital based nursing experience rather than working as a company nurse. If they responded by saying Hospital nursing is a must, then I encourage you as early as now to venture into hospital nursing, do not wait till the time you'll get called for the interview. And also, if you feel like your PD is near to being current, follow up closely with your employer regarding the job offer to avoid any delays. It's good to be prepared ahead of time.
I encountered nurses with PDs of March 2006 and earlier that were not able to obtain their immigrant visas last April-May-June 2008 (When their PDs became current temporarily) because of failure on their employer's part to supply them with updated JOB OFFERS. It is such a regret, so avoid hassles like this and must as well be prepared at all times.
Good Luck and God Bless Yang![]()

Congrats, alexxxmd !!
Just want to ask if you don't mind if you are sure it's still DELBROS that made delivery as on the website of US Embassy said that it is already Air21 that gives the deliveries.

t-cell, yes it's still DELBROS. We paid the courier fee to the DELBROS counter last Nov. 19, 2008 after our interview. AIR21 started as the official courier of the US EMBASSY only this February. DELBROS has still the obligation in delivering visas for people who got interviewed before FEB 2009.

Anyone knows why it is taking 3 mos. from interview date to receiving back your passport from the US Embassy in Manila?
I think this should concern all applicants who will have their appointments very soon as everyone knows that the VB is very volatile. It would be very unfortunate if the VB retrogresses in less than 2-3 mos. time and the nurse not getting their passport stamped since the PD is not anymore current.
Supposedly and from past experiences from other people and not to mention posted on their website that passports should be delivered within 5-10 days after the interview.
Anyone heard of paper application forms being phased out already and that on-line application forms will be implemented in the very near future?
I think this is a very significant move if implemented soon. It would definitely be more efficient.
Also, if there should be anymore improvements I think not everyone should be interviewed at the consular offices as well. Not all who did Adj. of Status gets interviewed as USCIS only selectively picks applicants needing an interview.
It is said that 85-90% of cases are AOS cases and that only 10-15% are consular cases. If majority of cases are AOS cases and USCIS do not feel they have to interview everyone adjusting status then why can't the consular offices do the same? I think selectively picking applicants that needs an actual interview will lessen the queue and make everything efficient. Those not needing an actual interview in the consular office may just go to the embassy or consulate to submit their documents, updated job offers, etc... and of course do the biometrics. They then just leave their passport afterwards and wait.
US embassies and consulates are not exactly the safest place to be in to be frank about it and it is also to their security team's benefit as well as the applicants if people can get in and out of US embassies or consulates as fast as possible.

I'm really happy for you! Congratulation Dude!Your waiting patiently finally paid of. What a great relief indeed! My priority date had been current for almost five months now and until now I have not receive any notice from the embassy about my schedule of appointment for interview. I wonder when will it come. Anyway, best of luck to you and to your family.Cheers!
